WELSUMMER (Fertile eggs)

Welsummers are such a beautiful, hardy heritage breed and one of my favourites to have around the farm. They’re friendly, curious and great for free-ranging, making them a really lovely all-round farm bird.One of the biggest things people love about Welsummers is their beautiful dark terracotta-brown eggs, often covered in that gorgeous speckled or heavily pigmented finish. No two eggs seem to look exactly the same!They’re also a dual-purpose breed, so they’re useful for both eggs and meat, while being hardy enough to handle our Australian conditions.Our Welsummers are raised naturally here on the farm with plenty of space to roam, forage and free-range. If you love chickens that are beautiful, useful and lay absolutely stunning eggs, the Welsummer is definitely one to consider. 

Not all our Welsummers lay dark speckled eggs, eggs can vary day to day.
