Our Story – From a Few Hens to a Whole FlockFeather & Flock began with a simple dream: to slow life down and reconnect with nature. We packed up, left the noise and chaos of the city behind, and headed for the hills — settling on a peaceful 55-acre patch of land nestled in the Great Dividing Range, just behind Coffs Harbour, NSW.At first, our plan was simple — grow our own veggies, raise a few animals, and teach the kids about living more sustainably. We started with just a couple of hens for fresh eggs... but what we didn’t expect was how quickly our love for chickens would grow.It became a real obsession — before long, we were completely hooked on these beautiful birds! Their personalities, their quirks, their calming presence around the farm — they truly became a part of our family life.Today, we raise purebred Australorp and Light Sussex heritage-breed chickens. Our hens and roosters live the good life here — free-ranging across lush paddocks, scratching in the dirt, soaking up the sun, and munching on wheelbarrows full of organic veggie scraps from our big garden. They are happy, healthy, and very well loved.It’s a real family affair — the kids help feed the flock, clean out the coops, and collect the eggs. We work together every day, and we feel lucky to live this simple, rewarding life.What started small has grown into Feather & Flock — and now we’re proud to share our fertile eggs with other chicken lovers all across Australia.
